Komplete 14 Installation / Native Access needs 4 times more Space ?

Hi there,

I upgraded to Komplete 14 Collector because I just need 1 Synth (omnia Choir) with the Size of 65GB. I have 200 GB free on my internal SSD, but Native Access now says it needs 283GB to install the 65GB. ****** ? I know the rule that it needs double the space for unpacking, but 4times the size ? is this normal ? did you Make the same experience ?

Have you maybe an external drive where you can set the download folder to, under preferences and of course in the long run buy a new drive or add one. And maybe clean the download folder.

yes that's what I did now but that's not what I wanted - that's why I have a 2TB ssd in my macbook

That sounds about right if you are installing onto the same drive you are also downloading to. The installer may be a bit less than 65 in itself, but then that needs to be unpacked to a temp location, so another 65, but it also needs then to be moved to the final location so another 65 is needed there which is 3 times plus I would expect it also to want some additional headroom to ensure that process goes smoothly.

Keeping the download and install locations on separate drives can help a lot when there is a lot of shuffling large files around
