Maschine+ Build vs Machine MK3

Howdy 🤠 I bought a mint Machine+ thinking I would use as a standalone. But after using in control mode, I'm blown away by the hybrid set up of hardware & software - best of both worlds :) Is the Maschine+ of notably have s better build than the mk3 or is the difference between the two minimal? If anyone with experience using both machines could shine some light on the differences in build id be happy to hear from you. I like the quality build of the Maschine+ and willing to pay a little more for an instrument that imo feels like a higher end hardware synth - which is what I'm used to working with. But if it's minimal, I think I might sell this and switch out with MK3

Ciao

Are you asking about the build quality?

It's 99.9% the same in that regard, the M+ feels a bit more premium due to the aluminum faceplate which to me is always better than plastic, like laptops. The knobs are also a slightly different model and don't wear out and become looser over time, or at least not as fast as the MK3... This is really the only fault of the MK3 in terms of HW build (previous models aswell)

My M+ knobs all still feel the same albeit I don't use it nearly as often as I used my old MK3.

Cool, thanks for your perspective. I've gotten slightly different answers - some have said it's a "much nicer build". Regardless, I think if having to go through the hassle of switching licenses after selling M+, shipping, buying a new mk3, reinstalling...no thanks! I got a pretty good deal on a mint M+ with the desk saver so I'm going to leave good enough alone!

No problem. I can't possibly imagine why anyone would say "much nicer" tbh...

You wouldn't have to "reinstall" anything, the software is the same for all controllers... Deck saver is also compatible with both, the M+ is basically an MK3 with a tiny computer inside, exact same dimensions. Transferring the SW is a one-click process on the website.

But I must agree It's prob not worth the other hassle, a used M+ goes for about 600-700, which is about the price of an MK3 new so... you would virtually make no money back and effectively have a device with less functionality (standalone).
