Wanted to add something from my account and update software on my Mac Mini 6 core i5 (32GB Ram) running Ventura 13.3.

I normally have the content on an external SSD as there isn't a ton of room on my drive - however Native Access shows that I need to repair quite a few files, I cannot get it use any location including default.

I have granted full disk access to Native Access and to the deamon.

    How is your SSD formatted?

Are you saying when you change the "Content Location" in Native Access under Preferences -> file Management that it doesn't install the files to that location? Or does it give you an error when you try to download and install?

The SSD is Mac formatted and didn’t have any issues 6 months or so last time I updated NI stuff.

I like having the instruments’ content on an external drive.

But it didn’t work when I set all the locations to the “default” on the internal drive either.

I'm experiencing the same issue, I just changed my Mac, when reinstalling, I have this error for all my libraries.

Have you solved the problem please an how ?

Unfortunately no I haven’t. My guess is having to do a clean install of everything- which is not the multi-day adventure I really wanted

Can you explain what exactly the issue is when you say "it didn't work"?

I recently moved all of my content to an external SSD and changing the "Content Location" in NA to my external SSD. The process isn't automated and I had to manual relocate everything in NA.

That being said I do recall NA complaining about a few items which needed to be "repaired." I could speculate all day the reasons why, but for me it was just quicker to redownload the few packages that were broken.

When i tried to repair items marked repair there was an error message that said the download failed.

I tried both custom locations for downloads and libraries and using the default locations. Neither worked.

When you say Apple formatted, do you mean APFS? Can you confirm that it's not case-sensitive? I believe it should just say APFS.

I've see other people reporting that they are having download issues as well. Hard to say if that's what's going on here. I'd say open a trouble ticket with NI, but I'm pretty sure they're going to tell you to uninstall (manually if required) the item and install it via NA again. Which if you haven't tried already is where I would start. Set your content location in NA to your external drive if that's where you want it though, and troubleshoot it from there. Switching content locations is probably just going to confuse NA even more.

When I moved my NI content to my external drive, there were a few programs that I had to repair after manually re-locating all of my programs in NA. But I never encountered any download issues.

I don't recall who on this forum is the NI lead for software, if you know you can try pinging them to see if there are log files (I would imagine there has to be some someplace) for NA, and perhaps get a more helpful error message.

Thanks for the reply. Yes I always format for just APFS 😜

The default locations - which I also tried - are on the main drive and that too failed to download the files.

I don’t know who the lead is for NI - hopefully they see there’s getting to be a lot of messages on this thread and will chime in.

I have exactly the same problem.
I have a SSD with absolut no problem, and since I made the last Native Access update, I can't update anything. I checked the location, the SSD has no problem (Samsung Shield T7), and I TRIPLE checked the NI Daemon and everything.
I can't do any kind of update, or installing a new instrument …
NATIVE TEAM, can you give a hand on this please ?
