External Input alltime audible; how to hear only when selected?

Hi Community, maybe someone could help :)

I want to play live-Instruments with an E-Guitar. So I setup a Sound-Slot in a Group to get this sound. But when I select a different Sound-Slot (with a different effect-chain) i hear both Sound-Slots.... Even if I select a different group, the Input always goes to each Sound-Slot I setup for incoming Audio signals.

How to make only the sound channel audible, which is selected? Like when triggering VST-Instruments...

Maschine does not have an 'arm to record' system like traditional DAW's do, it's more of a Pad focus system, hard to put in words, to be honest.

Mute won't stop the input, what do you mean 'finished'? Not sure I understand what you're trying to do, do you just want to record some guitar then move on and stop listening to the input from it for some reason?

If that's the case then maybe watch Jef's videos, he has a couple about recording audio.

It's probably because all Pads are configured to receive Audio from the input you have your guitar connected to, make sure the other Pads have their Audio Input Source set as "None".

Thank you for your reply. Does it mean, i have necessarely to "mute" the input on the track, after i´m "finished"?

I tought, it could be possible like in DAWs, only the selected track or channel gets input.

Thank you, "arm to record" is pretty much the right definition.

My goal is to have a small Live Setup consisting of one E-Guitar with different Effect-Chains for Solo and Section Part. I would choose the Sound-Pad or whatever which contains the desired Effect-Chains. Pretty much as in a DAW.

Humm... OK, then you might want to try enabling Audio Mute, I had forgotten about it.

If it's enabled then Muting that Pad also mutes the Input.
