How to STOP audition sound when loading instruments?

I don't recall this being an issue before. Right now, the sound audition preview plays:

  • When I click on an instrument in the Kontakt 7 browser — GOOD.
  • When I open the instrument after double-clicking it (after it's already selected) — NOT GOOD.

As a result, every time when I load an instrument, it auditions it, and I hear it overlap for a few seconds.

Is there an option to disable this? I don't want to completely disable auditions, just when loading.

I am not aware of a way to turn that off.

Most likely will not satisfy you but : try this for a 'work around' (?) : do not double click to open : instead press enter on keyboard !

But maybe something that NI ought to get fixed . @Nilo_NI , since Jeremy is not here then maybe you could take a note of this to the Kontakt team ?

@PoorFellow You're right! Enter does NOT audition.

Would you consider this a bug as well?

    Thanks for your help.

You are very welcome ! 🙂 Personally I do not consider it a bug, but 'situation related' then maybe poor design...

    Hey Torley,

sounds like we’re triggering the audio preview when a preset is clicked, even if the click is the first part of a double click (which loads the preset). We shouldn’t trigger the preview for a double click. The team have been informed. Thanks for pointing this out! Hopefully it get's improved in an update soon.

@Nilo_NI Thank you for specifically acknowledging! I'm surprised I didn't see it mentioned earlier on here, but am glad you let us know.

    P.S.

Come to think of it then the type of crash that I described over here could possibly (?) also have to do with the 'audio preview' response to double click where it should not.
