Komplete Kontrol VST3 Causing Old Ableton Projects to Crash

I just set up a new Mac Studio (M2 Max, Ventura), and I downloaded all the same VSTs and AUs on my old MacBook Pro, and all of the Komplete Ultimate Plugins work except for the Komplete Kontrol VST3.

The plugin opens totally fine when I open up a brand new Ableton project, but when I try to open up my old project files from an external SSD drive, it causes Ableton to crash, displaying "A serious program error has occurred. Live will shut down as soon as this message box is closed." It also displays that message when it is scanning the VST3s, right when it gets to the Komplete Kontrol plugin.

If I delete the VST3 and AU old projects open up totally fine. What could be causing this and is there any fix?

I was opening in Rosetta, thankfully the problem was resolved with the Komplete Kontrol update 3.0.2

Well, probably your old projects use VST2 and your new mac no longer supports VST2 so you will have to launch Ableton in Rosetta mode which should allow VST2 to load, then check through every project and swap out VST2 for VST3

Thank you for your reply, but the old projects are using the VST3 version of Komplete Kontrol. I should specify the AU version of the plugin works fine, but if I open the VST3 in any project it causes Ableton to crash.

@evanmp If you are opening old Ableton projects made on an Intel Mac you should open these projects in Ableton in Rosetta mode on your M2 mac: How to Open Your DAW Using Rosetta
