No SPDIF input on Windows 10 Pro

I have just started using a Komplete Audio 6 MK1 with windows 10, and I need to have spdif i/o connection for my digital mixing desk (Yamaha O2R). I have the NI drivers installed, but windows only connects using its wdm drivers. And the Komplete 6 won't sync the spdif connection. Now I have no spdif input back from my desk to my DAW, Sound Forge etc.

Previously I was using a Creative Fatality card and front panel, and was getting both spdif i/o with no issues, rather than a low input signal (hence the move to th Komplete Audio).

Can anyone suggest a resolution for this?

Is there another audio interface (that Windows is seeing) installed alongside the Komplete Audio MK1?

Like a built-in one perhaps?

Yeah, theres the standard realtek audio thats present on every pc these days. I'm not sure if theres a way to disable that though. Unless it can be done in the bios (I'll check tomorrow, its bedtime now 😁).

I always kill the built-in audio in the BIOS when building the DAW to ensure that my "real" audio interface (RME UCX-II) has exclusive rights to all thing's audio from a Windows perspective.

This way - all ins/outs are accounted for at RME driver setup with no possible interference by Windows in the future.

Its a customised (by me) Dell sff pc, so hopefully it will have the option to disable on board audio. If not, I'll try uninstalling and deleting the on board sound drivers. But I can see issues arising with windows aggressively forcing the installation it's own drivers.
