X1 MK3 Question

Hi all,

Need some help about X1 MK3. I ve playing my dj sets with the X1MK2 and i want to upgrade my setup with the new X1MK3, so i want to ask if my setup configuration on my x1mk2 (effects , assigned buttons etc) will remain the same after i connect the new X1MK3 or i have to configure from scratch the new one?

    Can you check if the mapping for the X1MK2 has any content? You find it in Traktor➔Preferences➔Controller Manager.

    Get back to us when you found the time to check. But i can already tell you this: if it's a set of mappings your friend provided to you, you can't use it for the MK3.

    You can duplicate each line of the file for the MK3, but it will need to be a different file you will have to create yourself that can override the functions on the new control elements, plus you have to wait for N.I. to give this mapping capability for the new device in one of the future Traktor updates. Currently this is not possible.

    How and where did you define your setup configuration? In the Traktor FX preference page? On the X1MK2 config page? Via the controller mapping?

    I have no idea! unfortunately a friend of mine made the configuration some years ago , and i didn t touch anything since then and i wonder if i have to do it on my own this time...

    for example he assigned the pitch fader to the last effect knobe.. this configuration is saved as a file and everytime traktor pro boot get the configuration automatically?
