Hi,

I just tried to open Crude in Reaktor but I get an error saying that I do not have the latest version

I came here to find out what the latest version is

Native Access is showing no update for Reakor and is still at 6.4.3

Native Access doesn't seem to want an update...

any ideas?

cheers,

andy

was just returning to say that re-installed Native Access

I am a little bit surprised that Native Access didn't ask to be updated, but, that doesn't matter... all fixed now, @Monochrome , thanks :-)

    You're welcome 😄

From what I remember, there were plans to migrate all Native Access 1 users to Native Access 2 in the future (see this thread). It just didn't happen yet.

Native Access 1 won't show Reaktor 6.5 as an available update or install, only 6.4.3. There may be other products with the same issue, but I haven't seen them yet.

Upgrading to Native Access 2 isn't an option for those wanting to use the products on Linux. Is there a manual ISO download anywhere? All I can see is NI saying "download via native access"

Native Access 1 is legacy software - meaning: it's no longer maintained and newer software releases and updates indeed won't show up. Which is why you should update to Native Access 2 if you can.

Linux is not a supported OS, never has been one and the chances of it becoming one are pretty slim. The market share is simply too small to justify investing resources into supporting it. But that's a discussion better suited for this thread.

@Monochrome "and newer software releases and updates indeed won't show up"

.. thats not entirely true. Im on NA1. I upgraded to K14 UCE and have installed most of it including all the big libraries. I have also recently updated Reaktor to 6.5

Just say'n. Considering there has been a whole host of problems with the newer NA's its the least NI can do to keep it (NA1 going). Indeed the solution has been to move back to NA1. More than once.
