When opening NATIVE' Access .... I get

A new version of Native Access could not be installed

Restart to install now

Just keeps reoccurring and therefor does not update Native Access to 3.6.1

🤥

Fastest workaround to resolve this is downloading NA from NI website and install it, bypassing like this the update causing problems

where have you found the fix,? I have the same problem added a prompt that NA2-update couldn´t be installed :(

btw: do you have those infos also shown doubled in the App?

Hope this helps as I'm not sure it's the same thing .. but I went to the NI help page found the download bits and bobs then downloaded the update 3.6.1 after which I installed it (even though my Native Access was trying to load the same update from the PC )

The upshot was that when I was prompted to load the new update I selected OK, reloaded Native Access and the problem seem to be solved ... and yes they were duplicated in the N/Access app before installing the said update.

    Best regards

    Steve

You may find the same problem with 3.6.2 .... so just do the update as before 👊

I had the same issue. Serously, this is getting ridiculous. Bugs over bugs in Native Access. The developers really need to get their sh** together.

here worked the Update itself with no problem,, the onyl confusing thing was, that I got 4 lines of prompts that Version 3.6.2 will be installed (for some people maybe 1 is not enough, but 4 times? NI what´s going (wr)on(g) in Berlin?)

Found that kinda funny Sarge ... they do tell you to upload from their 'mother-ship' as said in my last comment .. we all just expect more from a seemingly huge company like NI ... or maybe we are getting lazy with our updating procedure .. who knows ... I don't

    @SupaReels

due to speaking not english as main-language I´m not sure if your post is against me personal or not 😟

I had the problem with the 3.6.1 and there you gave me the advice to download it from there homepage (you call it mothership, for what reason I don´t know) and this workaround worked for me & I thanked you

now they release 3.6.2 and the update works this time, but they bring annoying prompts: 4 times in 1 screen, fo(u)r what reason?

the same annoying thing as with their other prompt: everytime I start NA2 I got informed that the usage-data will be collected&transmitted -> there´s no way to get rid of this info, I turned ofcourse this data-collector off but the prompt comes again and again...

and to your point "getting lazy": in my personal situation I was (and surely still be) against all these so called "helpers" because nearly none of them worked perfect, but getting the download from there homepage was wonderful+easy-to-handle+always worked, maybe that´s the reason why u-he, Rob Papen, Xfer, Tone2 still haven´t such a ****** of a software-butler. If it would be still possible, I would direct uninstall those, cause I´ve got 21 to manage at the moment 🤢🤮🤬

These companies don't have nearly as many plugins as NI.

I am so sorry if I offended you .. that was not my intention. I referred to Native Instruments as the 'Mother-ship' as it supports us when things go wrong, it is a term often used and not in a derogatory way.

I said I found your post amusing because you wrote 'for some people maybe 1 is not enough, but 4 times?'.

Again my apologies for my glib post .. My meaning was to agree with the statement but in a more friendly and less serious way.
