How to record video using my DAW and broadcast live?

I have tried a thousand times to record videos using my DAW (Studio One) and broadcast live on Twitch. I would like to record videos for YouTube. I have seen many tutorials on how to use OBS for that. I must be doing something wrong. If anyone can give me any indication I would appreciate it. If you can also send me a video tutorial (if it is in Spanish, the better).

I use the Zoom app for that. You do not need to be on a call to record yourself and share screens, When you end the session, it renders your video to a file that you can edit.

Recent version of OBS added the "application audio capture" which might work perfectly for your usecase. For mac os you would have to use the latest OBS 30 beta.

What issue are you having exactly?

Ok, I have Windows 10. Thank you very much. I will keep trying. What I want is to do live shows on Twitch and record YouTube videos teaching how to produce R&B.

Just follow a random OBS tutorial, and instead of a game you set it up to record your DAW.

Do you have a twitch key & youtube key so that you can stream from inside OBS...

if you dont have a key... you wont be able to stream(broadcast), not on those 2 platforms without it

Pretty sure you don't.

OBS can often hook directly into the app to get the sound. Or even getting audio from an output.

It's only an problem if you need multiple channels that you dont' want to broadcast, for pre-listening etc.

Or you can go lowtech, get a splitter cable and from master to an input.
