what does the Audio Mute option in the MK3/M+ channel menu? For what is it good for?

I read the sentence in the ni manual 1000 times, and sorry i cannot follow what is it saying:

Enabling/disabling audio mute for a Sound does not mute/unmute it! It only sets this Sound to get both its events and its audio muted when you will mute it via the usual way (pressing MUTE + its pad).

can sombody explain with an example what is it doing. I have the situation playing the external MIDI synth coming in as Audio on stereo 1-2, have on sound 1 delivering the resample of it. What can i mute, of course the Audio Plugin with the resample, but its muting the same way the audio in on the channel.

the point is not pontless, the point is nobody is able to explain what the audio mute option does. And those who are no able should not comment in an unfair way, as you did.
