Connecting S4Mk3 via XLR into mixer -> sound problems

Hello, when I connect my Traktor S4Mk3 via XLR into my touchmix digital mixer (QSC) the output (sound) is like "distorted" -> bass and mids are less, and treble ton is more than it should be ... I heard I could use a DI Box to connect both party. Any ideas what happened and why? THANK YOU ... Joe

    XLR at both ends?

The XLR outputs of the S4 will be at line level, as they're intended to feed an amp or active speakers.

XLR inputs on mixers though are usually mic level, so it seems to me that you're overloading them. The jack socket inputs in the centre of the channels with combi sockets are for line level.

I'd suggest using jack to jack cables, from the S4 booth output to the jack inputs of the QSC.
