Warranty Question

Hello,

I am trying to contact anyone at NI that may be able to help me with this question. I purchased a S4Mk3 as new, and was given a Transfer ID by the seller. My only concern is whether the controller will receive the full warranty due to the Transfer ID?

I cannot find any info related to warranty in the knowledge base that helps me answer this question.

Any help would be appreciated, thank you for your time.

You will not receive a "full warranty" term, it would likely (if at all) be warranty for whatever the term is less however long the original owner had the product. So if the warranty is 12 months and the seller owned it for 6 already, you may have 6 months available.

However, most companies do not honor warranty transfer unless you have the original invoice for the sale. Instead, your claim is with the person selling it, something buyers of second hand products need to be aware of.
