Pioneer PLX-500 with Traktor Pro 3

Hi,

I've just purchased a pair of Pioneer PLX-500 vinyl record decks and a Behringer DX626 mixer.

How do I best connect these to Traktor Pro 3 please? My soundcard is an M-Audio M-Track Eight if it helps. The Main Out of the Behringer is currently connected to 2 channels on my Mackie 1604 VLZ4 Mixing Desk and if I want to record I use the channel Aux sends of my mixer which are connected to the M-Track Eight.

    I'm not sure that rack mount mixer supports RIAA phono inputs.

    You're better off with a sound card with RIAA phono inputs. Traktor Scratch Audio 6, Reloop Flux, etc.

    It does, trust me! But being an analog mixer, it doesn't interface with the software

    theoretically: you can switch to line output on each plx 500 and go with a line signal to your soundcard. connect your m-audio with usb to your pc or mac (maybe drivers a needed) then go to your behringer channels input for mixing. if you want to record this sets, take the master (or booth / tape ) out from your behringer.

    traktor should recognize your soundcard and all its in- and outputchannels in the preferences. there you can then route each channel to its associated location.

    Well, Traktor Scratch Audio 6 is out of stock and has been some weeks now. If it is discontinued indefinitely, they need to take it off the website.

    Forgive my ignorance (I'm new to DJing) but what is time coded vinyl? Would I be better off getting the TRAKTOR KONTROL S4?

    What is it you are trying to do?

    The s4 is pretty easy. You can just hook turntables directly up to it and they get picked up in Traktor. Both for normal vinyl or DVS (Timecode) (Video explanation)

    But if you want to use the Behringer mixer you can just buy interface like djsubculture said. You can buy the Audio 6 used for about ~100'ish EUR in Germany. Or a refurbished one on reverb. Reloop Flux if you want a new device.

    Traktor s4 mk3 is pretty sick. One of the best 4 channel controllers for the price. You can often get from from about 600 to 750 EUR used.

    Could somebody kindly walk me through how to setup my newly bought Traktor Scratch A6 with my Pioneer turntables with Traktor Pro 3. I have followed the Traktor Scratch A6 manual and am currently getting nowhere fast! I am new to DJing. I have connected the ins of each DJ deck to the ins of the A6 and the outs of the A6 to the Behringer mixer outs which is connected to my mixing desk. Playing the Scratch vinyl (with the timecode) does nothing

    I assume you mean to the behringer mixers ins?

    Anyhow, please follow this guide https://support.native-instruments.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000509157-TRAKTOR-PRO-3-Timecode-Setup-Guide

    Use "External mixing mode" as you will be mixing on your Behringer.

    Then activate the scopes to see if you get any signal. After everything works you can disable the scopes again.

    If you rather want to follow a video, you can search for "traktor dvs setup" on youtube and find a couple of guides there.
