Hello all, lovely to meet you.

I have a question: Why is my hardware not working when connected to the software? It is plugged in and libraries downloaded. I even installed the ASIO4all. Does the software need to have Kontakt to operate correctly?

What are you using as a controller, and why do you not have the ASIO driver that came with that device?

There's nothing "wrong" with ASIO4ALL...except that it's just a vanilla ASIO driver. Almost always you're going to have an overall better experience if you use the ASIO driver provided by your device maker.

Sure, you can fingerpaint with your elbows and knees, but why would you if you already have perfectly usable fingers?

I’m using the Mikro m3. It’s not making sound as it’s plugged into my computer even though the lights come on & whatnot

The Mikro MK3 does not produce sound on it's own, it's just a controller. What audio driver have you chosen as output for the software? Does the Maschine software see the Mikro MK3 as connected?

Hello, what is an audio driver and how do I choose the correct output for the software?

I can't answer what specifically an audio driver is, but I know that if you go into preferences inside of Maschine 2 and go to Audio, you will see your computer's listed audio cards, whether that be a sound card via your computer or audio interface. There may be a few different options, and I would mess around with them until you find the one that produces sound (that's what I did) There is more to it like sample rate (higher produces better quality sound but better quality will use more CPU if you don't have an audio interface ((I think)) )

In the Audio preferences, i would look under Routings and Output and make sure your basic headphones or speakers are selected (Left and Right headphones or speakers under Maschine output 1 L/R), when you use the right driver under Audio and device such as headphones or speakers, along with the correct outputs for headphones or speakers L/R, you will hear sound come through.

I'm pretty sure the video provided above will walk you through this process...

ALSO: Make sure Maschine MK3 is checked under Preferences and the MIDI tab in the Input section under MIDI to make sure your Maschine MK3 Pad is transmitting it's MIDI data to the software.

    Hopefully this helps you

Anyone who wants to add more or correct me, feel free to do so... I will learn from it too.
