I want to install mac os Sonoma on my M1 mac.. Will I have any issues with the most current version of Traktor Pro or should I wait?
Sonoma isn't officially released yet.
Like with every beta software you might experience problems, bugs and incompatibilities with the software itself and with software (like Traktor) you install on a beta-OS.
You can try, but to be safe wait until NI proves Traktor´s Sonoma compatibility.
Sonoma will be release tomorrow. The RC version is the final.
In the past, there were only minor issues when updating macOS. But, it always takes some time after the release of a new macOS until NI officially confirms fully compatibility.
If you depend on Traktor (or any other pro audio app) because of upcoming gigs, don't install Sonoma right on release. Wait at least for the first Sonoma bug fix release. And see if people report problems.
Never ever install an OS major version upgrade on a production computer, especially when you are in the middle of a project.
Wait for several minor version updates after its major version upgrade to upgrade.
Only upgrade when you do your due diligence and check that all your hardware peripherals, software and plug-ins you are using are fully compatible with the OS upgrade, and also only upgrade in-between projects when you have time to do backups and for troubleshooting.
i have updated and still getting spinning wheel of doom. Force Quit every time!!
