Lost all functionality on Maschine MK3

@godsnatas Thanks for the video, as suggested by others, I would definitely recommend to check different USB cable, USB port, directly in the computer, check with only the Mk3 plugged in, it will be easier to troubleshoot.

Then make sure that Maschine software has full disk access: How to Enable Full Disk Access on macOS

Also follow the other steps of this article: My MASCHINE Controller Does Not Start

If it still behaves in the same manner, test the MK3 on a different computer, if it's behaving the same, then it's clearly a hardware default and you should get in touch with our Hardware department: https://bit.ly/NISupport_Hardware

I was able to check Maschine with other UBS cables, direct to computer, and also used the power supply and still no good. Also tried it on another computer and same problem. All these steps didn't change anything.

sorry to hear that... thats really unfortunate

theres little else that can be done... other than try hardware support as the support staff has suggested

look on the bright-side you have some spare parts for your next mk3 purchase *smiles

Make sure you have the receipt wherever you purchased this defective mk3 from, and make a copy of it. You will have to send the defective unit back into NI plus pay a 89$ fee, copy of the reciept, and fill out a few support questions. If the device is still under warranty you may not have to pay the fee!

Any updates? Did you do an RMA for your defective mk3? Did you have to pay 89$ fee?? When in doubt if the mk3 starts acting weird, and buttons don’t work 99% of the time it’s defective. Probably a bad batch of mk3’s were made around 2018. My second mk3 from the end of 2019 has been holding up so far. Who knows though this one could ****** out anytime. Once this happens then I’m really done with maschine, and will not be giving this company another dollar so long as I live.
