M+ and Jam
I knew NI updated later to let Jam work with M+. Does the Jam device require a firmware update of sorts. I was unable to browse for [PerformFX] or select a Group of sounds. Any ideas. Perhaps the compatibility isn't 100%? I used M+ away from the PC.

Functionality of Jam with M+ standalone is limited in some ways. Not everything is implemented in M+ firmware. The most of functionality is implemented, just few things are not.

It’s not identical to using JAM with a computer. There’s a documentation of the implemented functionality available on the M+ web page.

Here's my use case. To use Jam for:
1. Level management (good for adjustment of volumes of each sound within a group at start)
2. PerformFX mangling (better than twisting multiple knobs) but to trigger from MK3/Plus
3. An eye on VL meter to monitor clipping and adjust by [Master] or [Group]
4. Enter 4 on the floor type of notes (faster to input for simpler sequence) on [Step] mode
5. Manipulate Lock States or Scenes
