Komplete 14Ultimate

I am interested in numerous instruments included with the Komplete 14 Ultimate collection which are all supposed to be individually compatible with Kontakt 5 and Kontakt 6 (which I have installed and working on my Mac OSX 12.6--Sierra--computer).
But the Komplete 14 Ultimate says that OSX 15 is required and I am worried that Native Access will not allow me to install the individual products I want if I don't actually have a K14U hard drive from which to download the installers using the UPID codes.
Do I have any options for getting these downloads separately from Native Access if it refuses to install them for me? Will someone from NI add some individual downloads to my account if I need to install them manually?
I purchased Komplete 13 Standard (physical hard drive version) and Native Access would not install the products. I needed to extract them manually from the included hard drive using those UPID codes. Once installed, Native Access let me authorize and activate them. But Komplete 14 Ultimate is not going to come with the hard drive for me to do this.
I really want a bunch of these new guitars and such, but it is silly to buy them individually when I can get all of them and a bunch of useful extras by purchasing the Komplete 14 Ultimate upgrade.
However, it's pointless, and will be misery if I can't install them...
Thanks in advance for any advice on this.

Hi @Zeddd
If you are running macOS 10.12 then there is no point in updating to Komplete 14. It is not compatible with your OS and many of the instruments and libraries will not run on your system.

The only Komplete 14 Ultimate instruments I am really interested in are Kontakt instruments which I already know have specifications that WILL successfully run in my versions of Kontakt 5 and Kontakt 6 without any problems.
The issue is getting Native Access to cooperate with an installation of them on my computer, since Komplete 13 instrument could not be installed via Native Access, and I think it is an issue of them being bundled in the Komplete product and would not happen if I had individual downloads in my account.
I don't care about all the instruments and effects and non-Kontakt products that I cannot install until I get another computer and a more current OS... but I do need a way install the Session Guitarist and Abbey Road Kontakt instruments or there is no point in my making the purchase...

Wait... are you saying that if I simply install Rosetta 2, Native Access should behave properly and will allow me to install individual Kontakt instruments when my Komplete 14 Ultimate serial number is registered?
My Mac is quite old, so I'm not sure Rosetta 2 applies to my situation or can even be installed on my computer... but perhaps it is the needed bridge. I will investigate further.

The big summer sale ends tomorrow the 6th (which is already "today" for most people).
I really need to figure out whether I can make this Komplete 14 Ultimate investment or not...

Well actually ALL of the instruments I want (including all the new Session Guitarist instruments and even Piano Colors) will run in the version of Kontakt 6.5.3 that I have already installed on my computer, and many of them will run in Kontakt 5.
So there is a point in upgrading. I can get about 20 Kontakt instruments that I want in my collection for a really decent price.
Downloading the installers is the issue.

Rich_NI have to advice you as he/she does because they can not have that you are unhappy with your purchase because of what you could later call bad or wrong advice.
I myself , with no affiliation with N.I. , can not give any warenties either but I tell you that Native Access (the downloading app) have following demands to MAC users :
macOS 10.15, 11, 12, 13 (latest update)
Graphics hardware support for OpenGL 2.1 or higher - in case of graphics issues, please install the latest drivers for your GPU. This can be necessary even if Windows reports them as up to date.
Requires an internet connection in order to install and update your products.
https://www.native-instruments.com/en/specials/native-access-2/
So maybe you can download anyway , I don't know.
But in any case I agree that buying at the sale will give you top value for your money and you can then upgrade your MAC later if need be ! I myself didn't have the hard drive space to install Komplete 14 Standard when I bought it but I bought it anyway !

I think you may be in for a world of hurt here by pulling the trigger and expecting any of these to work in Kontakt 5 etc despite what you understand (or have read about).
Not to mention no facility to get standalone installers and trying to run all this on an OS that is getting more retired by the minute and is not officially supported by NI
All you need is one big problem to arise and then have no one to help you when it goes south - that's a big gamble in my book.

I do have a laptop (which is not my music computer).
I suppose I could upgrade the OS on my laptop to 10.15 and download all the instruments I want and then install them on my desktop (Sierra) computer and Native Access should be able to authorize them once it sees them installed.
A bit of a hefty workaround, but I guess it could solve the problem.
it would be much more helpful if NI would just add the requested instrument downloads to my user account after I register Komplete 14 Ultimate... but that's probably not likely to happen, I suppose.

This will not work either as there is no concept of "downloading the instruments" (here) and then installing them "there" via Native Access (on a supported system).
To be clear - yes NA does "download" the instruments, but it also installs them instantly and wipes the installer instantly afterward. And all of this action occurs right on the machine that is running NA2.
I am sensing that you may be thinking you can cherry pick 20 items from Komplete ULT, casually download them to some folder on a machine for some offline install action at your leisure. That is not how NA2 works.
Also - as a Komplete 14 ULT owner myself - the only thing that will show in your acct after purchase is something called "KOMPLETE 14 ULTIMATE Update" and its matching serial.
There are no standalone serials or any installers for the 200+ items that come with K14 ULT.

Buy Komplete 14 Ultimate on sale to save a lot of money with respect to that. Then get yourself a better music computer ! 🙂
I myself really wants Komplete 14 Ultimate but do not have the money for it and also need a new PC but will have to settle for a new PC in any foreseeable future if I even get the money for that that is !

Hey Vocalpoint,
I had just enough experience doing some workarounds with Komplete 13, that I figured I could make it work, and when I saw that my High Sierra laptop was successfully downloading Komplete 13 content (which my Sierra desktop computer cannot do), I figured that I had a good chance of downloading Komplete 14 installers with High Sierra (and could upgrade to Catalina if it didn't work).
So I took the plunge, and thankfully it works. Yes, you **can** save the downloads before Native Access wipes them, by simply moving them into a folder. When I install them on my desktop computer and open Native Access, it recognizes they have been installed and immediately authorizes them since Komplete 14 Ultimate is now registered in my account. I'm good to go.
My desktop computer is a bit screwy, since I also have trouble downloading things from the AppStore, so I'm guessing that if my Sierra desktop computer was not having some kind of issue, I could probably download directly with Native Access from Sierra.
But in any case, it definitely works from High Sierra. Of course any instruments or FX or Guitar Rig, etc. that requires a later version of OSX will not be able to be installed once downloaded, but all the Kontakt instruments (at least all the ones that I really wanted can be downloaded and installed). Any of the new Kontakt 7 instruments are out... but I didn't jump in for those.
I'm so glad I took the chance... but I'm glad you scared me a little and got me to double-check things on the laptop before I bit the bullet.
Cheerios!

Nice. Yes - I knew you could "save" the installers by jumping into the NA process as a specific point in the install - and its a timing trick for sure - but glad you got it sorted.
Enjoy K4 ULT.

Hey PoorFellow,
The good news is that you will have more opportunities and maybe even better ones later in the year, and then the chance to jump in next year with Komplete 15 Ultimate (and beyond).
I was really hoping (from a few years back) that when I eventually could afford to get into Komplete Ultimate I would finally get the Cremona Quartet... but sadly it is no longer included. So there is the risk of some things being discontinued at some point, but I think most of this content will still be available to you whenever you can manage to grab it in the future.
