I like the standalone feature of the Maschine+ —but plug it up to my MacBook, will it speed up and work like Maschine MK3 —being able to access my complete library?

Yes, once plugged to a computer it’s almost identical to MK3

The only thing missing from the M+ that the MK3 has is "DAW Control", afaik.

    Worth mentioning:

if you gonna use the M+ as a controller for your computer, don’t use the power supply. This makes the M+ go directly to “controller mode” as it only uses power from the usb. Otherwise you’ll start it up and have to go in the menu to select controller mode. Or at least that’s how it was last time I connected mine to my laptop (rarely happens).
