I know I'm going to sound redundant but AI will control every aspect of making music.

Music tends to go in cycles but along with nostalgia typically comes a dose of something new. The elephant in the room is of course AI. I'm an optimist, so I think that it can and will be used as a tool, just like any other new software. Good music is good music, I suppose. Whether or not a song makes someone feel good is all that matters to me. And all that should matter.

AI tools are becoming increasingly sophisticated, and they are already being used by musicians to create new sounds and compositions. In the next decade, I believe that we will see even more AI-powered music being created, and that this will lead to new and innovative forms of music. This could lead to the creation of new genres of music, or it could simply mean that music becomes more eclectic and diverse. Because of this I believe that we will see a growing demand for live music experiences, as people seek out more authentic and immersive ways to enjoy music.

As I was reading through the other comments and depictions of an industry dominated by AI, I couldn't help but think that the coming generation of musicians will know less and less about music theory, let alone be able to play an instrument. They will know how to prompt AIs and function rather as a curator than a creator.

The A.I. movement will come and go. DJ's and producers will continue to experiment and be innovative with sounds.

Aside from the overwhelming 'AI' response.

I do believe we've been seeing an upsurge in African / Nigerian and similar types of sounds becoming quite popular. I expect that in the next decade, Caribbean Music (which is a fusion of a large African influence, with Asian and European / American influences) will dominate popular music tastes.

In particular genres such as Dancehall, Dub, Reggae, and Soca will make a massive impact in pop music spaces.

In the next 10 years i will still be teaching music to my students, the traditional way and the more more modern and technical way, including the latest advancements in computers, plug ins, sounds and everything else, but the essence we must keep alive, teaching the classics, learning from those that came before us,it is a cycle and everyone should learn and appreciate what was before and strive to become what is next, do we know what it is? no, we don't but i bet you is gonna be a blast for future generations.

Midi gloves and glasses will be taking over the world of music. Everyone will be able to perform nearly any instrument with the new VR soundstudio to some level. We'll be able to have visual representations of our virtual instruments and will end up paying a yearly access fee for everything. Processes like copyright and music distribution will become more accessible and streamlined. Music quality will be of the highest quality and compression, like MP3s etc. Will no longer be needed because of bandwidth will be faster than our wildest dreams. I know this because I renewed my Psychic Friends Network card.

Music is going in a very kind of everyone is sounding the same, so as a producer you have to use AI and all the tools you have to stand out... So standing out is super important and the same will always be, a hot record is a hot record you can hear the differance...

The world of modeling and DSP will continue to expand. Also the technology will continue to compliment and expand time-tested hardware such as amps and circuit designs.

Through technology the world is getting “smaller.” There is more music, art, and culture available to everyone. World music will follow fusing instruments, scales, and most importantly appreciation of different peoples.

Standalone Maschine 3 will come out and it will have an 8 hour battery, a way faster processor, four times the RAM, and the capability for user installed ssd. Every pad will be able to have different amounts of steps and will be able loop infinitely, independent of the global time signature and scene size. Mutes will be recordable! There will be two touch screens that will be big and sharp. All parameters on VSTs will be accessible just like on the computer. It will have Bluetooth and multiple USB ports. It will be able to send CV. Modulators will be routabke to any parameter. The software will be switchable between pattern mode and a real linear mode. It will have analog voices.

AI will not be the fiasco people think. People will get sick of it. The human factor will in out.
