Update from macOS Mojave to Ventura - problems with playlists/fixtures in TRAKTOR PRO 3?

Hi
I use TRAKTOR CONTROL S8 for years. But I'm definitely not a MacProfessional.....
I currently have macOS Mojave (10.14.6) installed on my MacBook Pro (2018/2.7 GHz intel Core i7/16GB) and I have to update to macOS Ventura (13.4). I have installed TRAKTOR PRO 3 (3.5.2 / Processor x64).
My iTunes Library has approx. 650 GB of music files (most .aiff). My hard disk is 1TB.
Can I update to macOS Ventura and all my fixtures (cue points, and stuff like this) and all my playlists (about 100!) stay the same???
I can't imagine to lose anything of these fixtures. PLEASE HELP. THANKS FOR EVERY ADVICE!😰

Hi @Boumi B.
don't worry, your Traktor data is safe. I would always recommend to back up two things though before conducting such a major system update:
- The folder in which Traktor stores all this metadata which you will find under /Documents/Native Instruments/Traktor 3.5.2 - just copy this folder to a pen drive or external disk before you proceed
- The entire Mac, using Time Machine so that you can safely return to a pre-update state in the event of anything going seriously sideways.
Just some safety measures for maximum protection, in general the macOS update should be just fine without any trouble.

In general, you can use the update of choice. If you have just updated your macOS, you will have the same version running. If you have installed Ventura from scratch, Native Access will install the latest update (3.9.0). If you prefer to continue with 3.5.2, just let me know so I can prepare a download for you.

Hi Mark
Ok. I will try so! I will leave a message anyway. If it works and if not. I have Time Machine updated regularly!! Knock on wood..... :-)

Hi Mark
After having updated the Mac to Ventura: Do I have to install first TRAKTOR PRO3 a new version (3.7) or could I run with 3.5.2?

Hi Mark
After buying today several new tracks at Beatport, I downloaded them, they were added automatically to MUSIC (former iTunes), I issued a new playlist on MUSIC and I wanted to add this to "Music" in TRAKTOR (--> by pressing "refreshing playlists") but the new playlist and all the new tracks are not shown in TRAKTOR.
All other playlists (before the update) are shown regularly...... Do I have to change something in the directory to MUSIC or ITUNES??? Here my screenshot from the current installation (WTH is "Use legacy XML iTunes Library".....??)
kindest regards, Martin

Hey Martin,
with the switch from iTunes to Apple Music, some changes were implemented that cause hiccups. And this is what the term "legacy iTunes Library" refers to.
Please untick that box first and restart Traktor. If that doesn't do the trick, please follow the steps from this article:
My iTunes in TRAKTOR PRO 3.2.1 Is Empty After Updating to macOS 10.15 (Catalina)
What's the outcome?

Hhhm. Sorry, but I seem really to be an idiot...... :-( If I unbox "legacy iTunes Library" and start Traktor as new, only the tracks (and the playlist after update) are shown in my library in Traktor.
Do I have now (in MUSIC) to export the iTunes Library.xml to "Music" (the new named folder), where already a new library "Music library" is shown, watch here:
Currently my iTunes folder looks like this.
The blue bolded "Download Music" are exactly the tracks purchased after my Ventura update, and exactly these are missing in TRAKTOR PRO3.....
To what folder I have to export "itunes Library.xml" now correctly???
Regards
Martin
