Connect Multiple S3 Traktor controller

Hi All! Is it possible to connect 2 S3 Traktor devices to Traktor Pro3? If yes what is the right config for it ?

Theoretically, yes it is possible to connect multiple devices, but there is no "right configuration" for this... for any other controller you have to go on Traktor Preferences, on the last tab "Controller Manager". There, click the "Add" button to add your controller.

However, since S3 is a NI hardware with it's own drivers, i see a major problem here! Theoretically you have to install 2 drivers for both devices to work, but this is not possible, since both drivers have the same name, so, the 2nd will simply overwrite the first! If you had any other NI device (so, different drivers too) there should be no problem, but this? I don't know if it's even possible to be done.

Could he rename one of the devices with the controller manager and then assign different mapping to them in traktor?

I don't think it is just a matter of a rename, the problem is really deep. You see. we are talking about drivers (system parts), not controller templates.

Sunborn! Thank you for your reply - This is exactly what is happening I have a S2 Traktor and they work fine together with S3. I just bought a another new S3 Traktor but what is happening is that the second connected controller takes control and the other one keeps hanging with all the lights on but none of the buttons work.

Was it a mistake to buy another S3 Traktor(Same DJ controller). Should I return it or there might be a workaround to solve it ?

Maybe if you switch one of them into midi mode?

Absolutely yes, my opinion is to return it and buy a different device (or a different Traktor model of course).

However, check out what lord-carlos propose on the above comment, it might be a solution, however you will end-up with a device that you will use on half potential

Jog wheel encoder didn't send any MIDI last time it was reported. So check that first if you go with MIDI mode.

Controller Editor cannot see the MK3 line of Traktor controllers.
