I have tried SO SO many times to sample instruments and splice tracks into the Maschine software. I have everything you required to do so I just need some guidance. Thank you in advance

I’ll try to show you how it must be set up (sorry but the way you describe things isn’t too easy to understand ☺️):

In audio settings Maschine in 1 L and R must be set to input left and input right (if you are using MK3, you didn’t answer). In any case they must be set up with the inputs you are using of any audio interface)

In the sampling section of Maschine, Input must be set to Ext. Ster., In 1 L+R

If you also want to listen to what is coming in, you have to turn MONITOR On

Of course the volume of anything you use as source (phone, instrument,…) must be raised up, as must be the Mic In Gain knob beside the Maschine inputs on the back (could be this gain knob you didn’t see? It’s labeled only as “Mic”, but it serves also for the LINE IN)

Can you define what is not working for you? And how you set it up? (Audio from an external device coming with cables into MK3 audio interface, internal sampling,…?)

The lines that are supposed to mean that there is sound being detected aren’t moving. My setup is I don’t know what the cable’s called but it’s headphone Jack cable attached to a dongle that splits into two wider cables that go into the Maschine but nothing is working even when I go into the settings or try and change where the wire goes in
