I'm new to pro tools and it doesn't read kontakt 7, can anyone tell me why?

What version of ProTools are you using? Have you tried Kontakt 7 in standalone?
Make sure that Kontakt and ProTools both have full disk access: How to Enable Full Disk Access on macOS
