How can i buy or obtain a legit copy of Absynth? I just got back into recording after a long while and i noticed Absynth is gone. It was actually the first vst i had worked with.

No legitimate site is offering Absynth for free.

There's someone selling Absynth here: Buy / Sell / Trade

How long it will continue to work depends on too many factors: Windows/Mac? Do you always upgrade to the latest OS? If Mac, which Mac hardware? But at that price, probably worth it.

The thread I linked to isn’t saying that there are free versions of Absynth. It’s about it being abandoned. The title is a request since NI abandoned it

I don't know where to post this but update Absynth, not new patches, not new GUI, nothing, just update the synth to run on Apple Silicon, please stop crushing the coolest parts I have paid for. Kore was sick, but machine took its place, not as cool IMO, but I get it. But Absynth is a software update, for a super cool pad making machine. Please keep it in the line up. Anyone who reads this please hit the comments and maybe they will support this awesome synth engine.

The loss of absynth from the NI ecosystem is one of my main motivations to stop all business with this brand. The synth is still a beautiful, deep, essential instrument, and I do not accept Native Instruments products without it. My license still works today (win10) and for this I am thankful, but the day it breaks because of a change in the environment and doesnt get a fix, I lose a major part of my library.

Plasmonic (Absynth creator Brian Clevinger's new synth) is pretty good. Not an absynth replacement, but a wonderful synth with great MPE capability, physical modeling, etc.
