i'm using a Macbook Pro M1 Max running macOS 13.

i'm thinking about purchasing the Komplete Audio 2.

can i just plug it in & use it with GarageBand withOUT installing anything? or is the Native Access app required?

also, is all the downloadables in Native Access free or do they cost?

and, is there a subscription i'd have to pay to use any of it?

thanks.

Native Access is the central hub in which you can see, download and install all your (purchased) software products - such as Komplete 14 or these freebies.

Komplete Audio 2 comes with software that can only be downloaded through Native Access. If you don't need or don't want to use those extras, then you won't need Native Access.

ah, ok, so it's not "required", just useful.

i like to keep my computer system as clean as possible & not install stuff i don't "need".

Hey! Just to add to Monochrome, the answer is that it depends. The point I want to add that Monochrome missed is that we also authorize and register your products on your device, so that we verify you own the product. So if your products feel incomplete, likely you need Native Access to grant you full access as well.

What @Hayo_NI said is correct. I wasn't 100% there and for that I apologize.
