Sampling and mixing live decks with Traktor S8

When playing with analog signals on live deck performance situation, all the stem and pads área are useless…

Will be a game changer for this mixer to be able to sample as stem the signal using the pads, and then mix them on the stem section. Specially for those using drum machines and synthesizers.

Just an upgrade for Traktor, the hardware is waiting for it!

This is a huge gripe I have with the KontrolS8 - I mix between live vinyl and digital and being able to capture a sample from a "Live" vinyl track, set the tempo and then run that sample through some basic effects or loops would be an absolutely massive game changer...

Why stems and not remix decks? Remix decks are meant to used what you described.

Because you can't load live vinyl into the Remix Decks.

I just did an all-vinyl set on an Allen and Heath DB4 and the looping and beat-mashers on that worked fine off live vinyl, without needing to be playing off of pre-analysed digital.

All it needs is for NI to clone the live signal, in Traitor 3, to a short-term rolling digital sampler that the loop/freeze/effects engines can utilise in conjunction with the live feed from the deck.

Use the "Loop Recorder" to sample the "Live Deck" and then load each "Recorded Loop" into a Remix Deck.

"sample as stem" on a live signal? That's impossible. There's no way to split stems like that instantly from a live audio signal. Software that does live stems (like VDJ) kind of cheats and splits into stems in advance of what is being played back

Record Sample from live input, analyze the sample, split into stems. Should be possible once Traktor has stem separation.
