Sampling with Machine MK3 stoped working

Hi All,

I have a problem with the Machine MK3 and sampling. Unfortunately, I don't know since which software update. My setup is OSX Ventura 13.3.1 and Machine2 2.17.0. Sampling doesn't work anymore. The signal path is fine. When I play something in via Machine Line In, it arrives on the computer. The system settings for sound show the level. QuickTime can also make it audible. Garageband doesn't recognize any sound. The Machine MK3 passes the sound through, but no level is shown in the sampler. It shows: Waiting for Input...

Maybe someone else has the same problem and perhaps a solution...

Greetings,

sko

    Hi, Problem solved.

    Here's what I did:

    1. Deleted all files in MacHD/Library/Preferences/Audio/.
    2. Deleted all Machine .plst files in User/Library/Preferences/.

Afterwards, I restarted the computer. Then, all apps asked for permission again to access the microphone or audio input.

The error occurred after updating from OSX 11.xx to 13.xx. Perhaps it's best not to skip major updates.

    Regards, sko

If you use the arrow buttons on the hardware when you're in the sampling module, there is one setting for Monitor that needs to be turned on. That might help you.

Thank you Peter, unfortunately that's not the reason. The monitor is on.

    Interface is MK3

The source is External Stereo Input In1L+R.

Routing Input is 1InL and 1InR.

Routing Output is Out 1L and Out 1R.

However, the sound is passing through the machine, but the level bars in the sampler are not showing anything. I have already tried different settings in the audio settings/input routings, but it still doesn't work even with the old settings that worked on an older software version...

    Thank you anyway,
