Is this also possible with Traktor pro 3?

No, no stems separation on the fly on Traktor. If you want to have it for songs, you must get them ready in advance with some software like Ripx (or a simpler one if you don’t need all it’s functionalities) or an online version like LALAL.AI

No, Traktor has no stem separation yet.

It's on the roadmap and might be here this year.

But traktor has really good stem playback if you have files that are already separated. Both hardware and software.

What you can do is use programs such as Nuo Stems that will separate normal mp3 files into traktor stem files: https://nuo-stems.com/

Nope. Next update you can already beta test. It will have native m1/m2 support, playlist upload to aslice and at some point saving of custom pattern player patterns.

The release after that, 3.10 might have flexible beatgrid. And first after that they start working on stems. 3.11'ish. So .. 8 more month maybe?

Is there any good news about this? I'm torn between switching to Virtual DJ. It's so much more convenient when mixing if you can switch off the vocals ad hoc.

Not really.

I mean they had an update that made it sound like that the next version will have these features. But did not say when this will be.
