Clever ideas to use your old Maschine MK1 as an extra controller?

@LostInFoundation I NEVER thought about using an F1 for that! It literally never crossed my mind! I'll be doing that for sure!

Nicely done

The F1 is pretty versatile, if you care to take the time, you can map it to about everything in Ableton. For instance the sliders to control the dynamics in classical instruments. I just dabbled around a bit just to see if it works, but if I would put some effort in it, sweet things could be configured.

same same ... couldn't believe my luck when it all fitted into the GTR pedal case with a mm to spare at either end 😎

It kind of stinks things like my Traktor Kontrol X1 MK1 isn't even recognized on OS like Ventural to even use as a midi controller...

This is an english only forum, use google translator. Also, what does that question have to do with the topic?
Ask in the Traktor Forum.

Great stuff and ideas here and uses...
I have a beloved Maschine Studio that I think still is one of the nicest historical pieces I own at this point, love the look of it. And despite thinking it crapped out multiple times, it was always a bad or aging usb cheap hub. Plug it in direct, and stays connected, screens, knobs work tip top.
Got to thinking - has or is anyone using it for MIXING audio as a 3rd party plugin controller? The way it basically automagically interprets 3rd party plugins across the 8 encoders + paging, plus transport, etc. ~ despite owning like every new purpose built Avid, Softube, SSL controller for said purposes - the way NI thought and integrated this together, I was thinking of seeing how well the workflow might be for a Cubase or Pro Tools mix session - routing audio and launching plugins/storing plugins in chains in Maschine sessions (using it as multiple plugins, or maybe plugin instance on every channel in a mix session?)
Thoughts?
If you can find a clean or maybe never opened Studio version, the size, etc. really is a delight and still seems pretty much supported with latest Maschine sw that I can tell...

Has anyone been able to lunch MK1 on Mac Os with Big Sur? I have bought Traktor s2 recently and I felt like I want to go back beat making and have tried to turn on my old Maschine MK1, but it only flashes when connected and thats it. I have read it is no longer support and so on, but I dont see possibility to use it as a midi controller as I dont think my os see it at all, anyone with Big Sur or newer using still MK1?0

Big Sur/Catalina is not the main issue, is your Mac Intel or Apple Silicon? If it's intel there are tricks:

If it's Apple Silicon then afaik it's a no-go. You live in the UK so an MK2 can be bought used for as low as 50$ if you look for it...
