Anybody fancy building a multi-band dynamic-delay FX unit?

I scribbled a design for a multi-band dynamic-delay unit years ago - found the original post-it note recently and thought, I want it but I'm not smart enough to build it.
I built a little test version using VST's on Reaper; routing an audio signal into several tracks, filtering each track with a plugin, inserting a side-chained delay unit on each filtered track creating a basic dynamic delay for each band.
The concept is solid (I think) but my skills and knowledge are not.
Help. Please.
I'd love to tinker with or commission a physical circuit version in the future so I can have this as an effect pedal.

There are crossover filters in the factory library. Set up a couple of them with multiple instances of any of the FX also in the factory library, and you're done, at least enough to know if the idea is good.
In general, if you don't have the skills and knowledge to create something, you definitely can't tell intuitively if it is a solid concept! (I know this from experience). Factory library components are great, because even without the theoretical understanding, you can throw together quick proof of concept sketches easily enough.
