Snapshot not loading saved main level out settings

I am building an instrument using ui_sliders. There are over 50 of them and they all recall correctly when saved in snapshots except for one which is assigned to the main level out in the top right area of the Kontakt instrument ( which also has its own slider). The problem I'm having is that it only updates when I click it (on my main out ui_slider) with my mouse, however all the other sliders assigned to FX etc update correctly with no issues. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

It is the instrument volume I am referring to.

Yes, all the sliders are make_persistent which is why I can't figure it out

I just loaded the example script from the KSP manual into a new instrument, added make_persistent to ($volume), the knob updates but not the instrument slider top right in kontakt nor the volume level saved in the snapshot, however when I mouse click on the ($Volume) knob everything updates. It is the same in my instrument, so the information is saved in the snapshot but it is just not updating for that one slider. Very strange...
