Controllers: New S3 or used non-mk3 version of S4

What's the better value for a home/hobby DJ controller? Pickup a new S3 ($550) 4-track (license included) or a used older gen S4 ($350ish in excellent condition) and pay the $99 for the license?

Are you saying new S3 or used s4 mk2?

I would say s3 but if used s4 mk3 then s4.
