Next time it happens you can try to press CUE, a hot cue or with the mouse the UI button. Just to narrow down where the problem is.

It's just a guess at this point, and I am talking about a possible loose contact which would always cause an on-off occurrance of such an error.

If such an error becomes clear, it is covered by legal warranty (if not caused by spilled liquid for example). This expires only after 24 months.

Please just keep a close eye on the behavior of that deck / button. That's all that can be done ATM.

The controller is completely undamaged, no liquids have entered. :)

Checking for a firmware update never hurts:

At the same time, I doubt that the behavior was related to outdated firmware. However, peep us posted please. THX!

Sorry to hear that your S4 is giving you a bit of trouble. In such cases, I remap the feature to some other available button on the hardware. Just to test things and see if the same issue could be duplicated using a different control on the hardware.
