    macOS 14 (Sonoma)

Currently, Native Instruments software and hardware products are not supported on macOS 14 Sonoma. We cannot recommend to update to macOS 14 at this point.

We are conducting systematic tests with macOS 14 in order to offer full compatibility of our software and hardware products as soon as possible.

Please note that even though the beta version of Sonoma has been available for some time, we ultimately need to ensure our product compatibility with the release version.

Never run latest MacOS is the only way to have safe/tested setup.

Don't want to engage anybody to update to macOS14 as it is NOT supported yet. But, I'm running Sonoma with no problems so far even with my old VCI400 setup.

Could you specify your issues? When does Traktor freeze/crash? Do you use a controller or an audio interface? Which TP3 version is installed? Did you make a clean install (of macOS and of Traktor)? What Mac do you use?

Mine is kaput as well.. Spinning wheel of doom as soon as you try and do anything, requires a FORCE QUIT.

I don't get it. The same with every OS update. There helps only learning through pain😫

Kontrol Z1 doesn’t work with Sonoma at all yet.

Interesting. X1MK2 works fine for me, but Z1 doesn’t work at all. It doesn’t even power up.

My Traktor is not working although 3.10.1 should be compatible with Sonama. Whenever I try and load a track I get the spinning wheel of doom!

Sigh. N+I is pretty much always the last software I have to get current with a major OS update from Apple. I mean, c'mon - it's not reasonable. Why?

    • It has had over a decade to develop an automated regression test suite to shorten testing time. Testing shouldn't take months.
    • It has an entire Beta release period where they can receive the OS from Apple early to discover any serious issues well in advance of release.
    • Typical software dev firms do all their deep testing during beta, then run a final sweep test post-GA to discover things that might have changed between beta & GA.

N+I seems to do NONE of these things, and are always MONTHS behind a major OS release. I need to update my Mac for other (employer-driven) reasons. And I my workflow doesn't easily support using 2 Macs - one for DJ and one for "real life". (I tend to discover / organize music in the background while working, and it needs to be the same device. Trust me.)

It's aggravating. Every. Single. Time. And honestly, suggests the company values programmer comfort / ease-of-process over prioritizing customer needs.

We got a new Traktor release this week - at least 6-8 weeks after Sonoma release. Does this Traktor relate support Sonoma? Nah - what users would care about that? "You can wait; we are in charge of your life."

Using Traktor in MacOS Sonoma with Mac Mini M1, Pionner DDJ-FLX6 and a supplemental audio interface (IK Multimedia). No problems so far.
