Hi-

Anyone else having problems trying to use the glissando feature on the orchestral harp in Kontakt Factory 2? Can't choose the scale for the glissando on my system.

Try in Komplete Kontrol. Use the scale feature there and see if something changes

Where are you trying to set the scale? In Kontakt itself or in Komplete Kontrol?

In the Kontakt plug-in window inside of Logic.

Yep It works there. Hmm. Thanks for the work around!

Here's a question: I have the S61 but my assistant doesn't. Since I have the NI controller, I've never tried to run Komplete Kontrol without it. Can you load it if you don't have the controller?

    You’re welcome.

Yes, KK software can be used without the keyboards. You can map any midi controller to it or make it respond to a DAW midi messages even without a controller. It is best suited to their keyboards of course, with everything premapped and so on. But it can anyway be used

None of the following glissando scale types are working for me: major, harmonic minor, melodic minor, phrygian, mixolydian, whole tone, diminished, major pentantonic, blues, mess IV, mess VI, mess VII, or locrian #9. Whenever I attempt to select any of the above the screen immediately defaults to one of the actually functioning scale types. I really would like access to all the scales since it was one of my primary motivations for purchase. And yes, I did try in both Komplete Kontrol and in Kontakt 7. No luck.

Hi Elastic, that equates with my experience as well. I assume you tried both approaches in stand-alone and in your daw too? And are you using A NI controller?

In my workflow (Logic with NI Komplete Kontrol) I use the Harp in Kontakt7 in the browser (running under Komplete Kontrol) to select the scale and then switch to the Midi window on the s61 to write the gliss using CCs on the s61 I have mapped to the gliss function.

BTW I have seen in the documentation for the harp that there are a LOT more scales, organized in pages, that I have never seen and don't know how to access. It is probably in the manual but I needed to get some work done so...

Just checking now- in standalone mode I get exactly your results vis the missing scales. Using the s61 I can access all the scales in the Kontakt window on the s61.
