What do you mean with “it won't stay on my controller”?

The software is in the computer, the controller is just…controlling it

Or do you mean the controller loses the connection?

What controller do you have? Maschine MK3, MK2, MK1, Mikro, Studio?

The only Maschine that works standalone without the computer is Maschine+

@LostInFoundation kudos to you for engaging so helpfully in such a non-message!

@Field can you please read your post again and try to imagine what it's like reading that as someone who is not you?

@Murat Kayi I tried to understand him.

And my first thought was he is not aware of how Maschine works.

There are many, MANY Maschine users that are not aware that the HW unit is just a controller.

Most typical help requests starts with “my MK3 doesn’t do this or that”, as if the controller is doing something itself and not the software.

Even if I must admit that is quite strange to me that someone buy such a unit without collecting some infos beforehand, we can’t pretend everyone is interested in how something works or is structured.

Think about a “classical” musician buying a Maschine to have an accompaniment to his playing “physical” instruments. Surely he will know a lot more about how his accordion/guitar/every other instrument he uses works than me…and maybe he is not interested/he doesn’t have time to understand from where the sounds produced by a device like a Maschine come.

Since I hope that when I’ll need help to understand better how my accordion produces its sound I’ll find someone happy to help me without judging the fact that I bought one without understanding how the air flows in the instrument to produce the sound, I always try to put myself in other users shoes and see if I can help in some way

    Or…said in a simpler way.,,

When I go to the doctor and tell him “my leg is paining” I’m happy he is fixing my bone instead of asking me to study 6 years to take a degree in medicine plus 4 additional years for a specialization in physiotherapy 😂😂😂

Oh I know, there's people who kind of actually enjoy reading manuals and some who dive right in. Also, if you get a MK3 there's at least two manuals to check out and it takes a while to even stumble over that fact.

What I was trying in my reply is to point out that even if you know nothing about what you are actually doing, you can create a post with enough info to enable others to help you. No technical knowledge required. This is about as basic a communication skill as it gets. It's like calling 911 and all you say is "Help!"

    So..where are you?

    "I'm here!"

    What's going on?

    "Something bad, I need help"

    Well...

You are quite right on this ☺️

But, even in your case, I hope police will come to help anyway, even if you are a monosyllabic guy ☺️ (well…in my case, I hope I never need police…being a Rastafarian I’m quite sure if they come I will be the one that will be arrested even if I’m the caller…police never liked Rasta too much 😂)

Well, as everyone knows, as a Rastafarian you need to call 111, instead,

one love, one soul, one heart😂😘
