Komplete audio 2 - mic, guitar, Komplete a49 and Maschine plus connection

I need to better control the volume for each input and equalize them differently using the Komplete audio 2.

In Komplete audio 2:

1.I connect a micro on IN 1

2.I connect a guitar on IN2

3.I connect Komplete audio 2 to Maschine plus.

Then the outputs : OUT 1 and OUT 2 I have 2 separate cables that I route to a mixer separately. Does out 1 and 2 are meant to be different channels or they are kind of left right ? Can I achieve separating micro and guitar ? I tried almost all .


Note: the a49 is controlled via the usb so I don’t have possibilities to control the volume of everything that comes from Maschine .

    This is a complex setup that I think is being made more complex than needed. The Maschine+ has audio inputs and should be able to handle the guitar. The a49 and the Mikro are both controllers if you're using Native Instruments products and should be connected to the computer via USB. The Maschine+ should also be connected to the computer and set as your audio device for input and output. Your i/o for sound input and output would be controlled entirely through the machine+ using the hardware directly or via the software on a computer.

    This isn't the only way to set this up. And it isn't clear whether you want to control the volumes individually at the mixer or within the software/maschine+. If you want more granularity with each sound you need more outputs that you can then assign within software to their own channels that then are controlled through the mixer you mentioned.

    I'd outline some other ways to connect your equipment for maximum control but I don't want to muddle my response with too many options. If you've only got limited USB ports I highly recommend a powered USB hub.

    If your setup is entirely without a computer I'll need more time to figure out how it would have to connect (or if it's possible to achieve what you're asking to do).

    Maschine plus microphone connection is very low volume. Badly design if you want to plug your mic on it

    Based on your response you’re most likely using a condenser microphone. I found this in the manual:

    “You cannot plug a condenser microphone directly into MASCHINE+. It will require a preamp.”

    To resolve this issue you could pick up a cloud lifter or something similar. You could also add a dedicated preamp like an Avalon. Switching to a dynamic mic would recover your signal without breaking the bank. Obviously switching microphones is only good advice if you’re not using that particular microphone for a feature or flaw that colors your recording in a way another will not.

    I have to read more to see how to connect your controllers to the mascine+. I’m guessing it’ll be some advanced MIDI setup where you’ll have to set the midi channel for each controller. It isn’t hard per sey but it can get confusing.

    If I have the time I’ll upload a diagram to show the connections. Without a computer handling the audio you’re limited to stereo or two channels with the plus. I’ll double check just to be sure.

    If you mention the make and model of the mic, I can recommend common solutions for that specific microphone.

    I know this isn’t a complete solution but hopefully it helps you make some progress.

    From the manual:

    When a microphone is plugged in the MIC IN socket, the LINE IN 1 and 2 sockets are bypassed. Hence, if you want to record the audio from a line-level device, make sure that no microphone is connected to the MIC IN socket!

    The only way I could see efficiently getting guitar and microphone into the Plus is with a small mixer the microphone and guitar plug into and then the 1&2 channel output from that mixer goes into the Plus. Basic mixers with only a few channels and limited effects are inexpensive. Most will have enough gain accommodate your microphone (though depending on the mic you might still want a gain lift).

    The control of the volume for either the guitar or the microphone would be on the mixer(1st) and in performances I’d keep the channels on the mixer muted until I needed them for the piece.

    This does not replace the mixer you mentioned at the end of your signal path but if it’s being used for volume your Plus can do that instead and you wouldn’t have to buy anything more. If that mixer(2nd) is used to mix with other sound sources you’ll need another mixer.

    I am still looking for more details on the usb ports but I’m afraid the MIDI connectivity as a stand-alone will be via the 9-pin ports.

    Is not a condenser microphone. sure sm57

    simply the interface on Maschine plus is not good enough to have a good level of mic in out . Or at least very difficult to find

    That is why I got the complete audio plus to give it a boost. Problem is I need to control voice and audio in different channels
