KK v 2.9.3 not able to open in LOGIC anymore.

@LostInFoundation We are actively investigating the issue but were not able to reproduce it inhouse. Asking to delete these files is standard procedure. So far only a handful of users reported that issue and 9 of these 10 users fixed the issue by deleting the plist files.
"Loosing years of work" by delyting a plist file might be a little exaggerated here. Also, as I mentioned earlier "There was a fix in the last update for a similar crash/bug but Logic might be recording the plug-in is unstable." This is also why we propose these steps. I understand your concerns to a point, I'm informing the affected users right here right now. If you have any more helpful and constructive comments or insights regarding this issue, please share.

Thank you for the update.
I used the terms “losing many years of work” just because @LukeKeywalker said that he built his Logic settings over the years.
No, in this case I don’t have any more comments. My suggestion was just to keep users informed on how things are proceeding 😉

As @Jeremy_NI said, it’s common to delete the plist files as part of troubleshooting any software but you can simply copy these as a backup, delete, test and if the issue is not resolved copy these back again if it’s a concern to setup things again.
take screenshots of your settings if needed, sometimes when an issue arises and you don’t know what the cause is you have to start with a blank slate.

Hey all, one of the affected users might have found the culprit/solution. If you go in Logic's settings, then MIDI, if you untick MIDI 2.0 the issue disappears.
@LukeKeywalker Can you try that out and report back?

Indeed, it solved the KK problem for me as well. Only problem now is, what if I use MIDI 2.0 in my studio environment?
But maybe it's a good hint for the developers to solve it in a future update, so that I can use KK and MIDI 2.0.
Thanks Jeremy.
Best, Luke

Well, MIDI 2.0 is still pretty new, as far as I know, only Roland have a MIDI 2.0 MIDI keyboard available on the market.

You are right - indeed it doesn't seem to affect my workflow by now.

This fixed the problem on my end, not the plist thing.

Deleting the plist should have set your MIDI settings to default so it should have fixed it if MIDI 2 is off by default, which I would assume is the case? Otherwise maybe you ticked the box again straight away?

No, it's not. Or, well. It works when I use Logic Pro in Rosetta.

I updated Kontakt and Logic Pro a few days ago and after that it seemed fine!

That’s because Apple fixed the MIDI 2 bug

Yes, sorry! I should have updated this post. The Logic 10.7.9 fixed the issue, you just need to update!

Yeah so this turned out to be a Logic bug all along and it looks like it didn’t just affect Komplete Kontrol users either.
