Can I Automate Perform FX Using Maschine Studio?

I'm trying to add a tape stop at the end of a pattern using "Scratcher" function...

I have group A (contains the sample) routed to group E (contains Perform FX).

Group E is routed to the master. When I record the "Engage" switch it doesn't save.

Can't figure this one out...

    You can record Perform FX modulation as @LostInFoundation said as long as it's in the Sound or Group level, for the Master level you cannot since Maschine has no modulation lanes for the Master.

    I hate to be this guy but there's no "automation" in Machine, only modulation... Even tho the button is for some reason called 'Auto'. In Maschine automation is when there's something external controlling a button/knob, like a DAW for example.

    Did you engage automations by holding Auto button (or pressed Shift + Auto to lock it)?

    I didn't before.

    But, I just tried that and it didn't record.

    I have Perform FX applied to the Group level for pad bank E.

    Pad bank E is routed to the Master.

    The sound that I want to apply the tape stop to is assigned to pad 1 bank A.

    I tried adding Perform FX to the the sound directly in bank A but that didn't record either.

    Odd... Is Perform FX working correctly outside of recording the modulation?

    As a workaround you can manually create a modulation lane for the Perform FX engage button then draw the modulation manually.

    Yes, it is working normally.

    Your workaround worked! I'll use it like this for now.

    Maybe my OS is too out of date for the modulation recording?

    Currently still on Mojave... Reluctant to update my system because of the havoc it reeks on files.

    Although, I bought a new expansion that isnt compatible with my current OS... Probably going to update everything soon.

    It's possible. Mojave is way too old, the more time passes the less and less new things will work.

    Up to you but I'd go to at least Big Sur in your shoes, I never had any issue with files on updates or heard of anything similar tbh... If you try make sure you have a backup.

    Usually, the OS update problem is mostly if you use SW/HW hasn't updated their stuff for the new OS's yet, or dropped support for the older version you own.
