If presets are missing in Massive X, check this article: Some Presets are Missing in MASSIVE X
Then you can do the database reset for Massive.

Presets appear inside each instrument, not inside Logic.

sorry for expressing not correctly:
there are no presets within the instruments:
massive x etc

Probably they are not in the correct directory, so the instrument can not find them.
Unfortunately i am on Windows so i can't help further, but i think the presets directory on Mac is /Sounds directory so, have a look there, or wait for a Mac user to answer, in case you still can't find them.

Massive needs to be run in standalone first to scan presets into the database. As I recall Massive X factory presets need to be installed separately via Native Access, have you done that?

hi, i did install them separately.
how do i start massive stand alone?

...as any other program in your computer... click on its icon to open it...

you can massive open standalone, i did, but not massive x,
still no presets

ok, massive x is not stand alone, only massive is.
can you make some screen photos of the synths, and specially of the area that you expected the presets to be?
have you checked the disc to see if the presets are actually there? On Windows, the path is C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Native Instruments\Massive\Sounds\Massive Factory, unfortunately i can't help you with Mac paths but look for something similar.

Look in Native Access for Massive X Factory Library and check installation path - then go to that folder to see if the files are installed. If they are open Massive X settings dropdown and run 'rescan content'. If not, reinstall them
