USB Requirements for Komplete Kontrol S88
If I'm going to use a USB hub during live performances, what specs does the USB hub need to meet regarding powered vs. not powered? I assume whatever the answer is for Komplete Kontrol would be the same for the Maschine controller as well.

S88 MK2 needs power supply, it is not USB powered. So, any passive USB hub will do. And Maschine MK3 does not draw that much if USB powered. It may be also powered using optional power supply....
IMHO, passive USB hub will do in your case. Less wires, less things to fail or be forgotten.... And so....

I would suggest a powered one. Specially if you want to use HW without their power bricks
