Just wondering if the masters of the Reaktor modules have used or created these..
...sound illusions?
i dont know how much practicality of having such a looping sound with what is continually heard in this clip... but i suspect some of the masterful reaktor creators and sound designers might have a possible method of utilising such a sound...
this particular sound is a continual pitch bend, which remains audible despite its continued perceived ascending tone...
have a listen for yourself... can this be reproduced with the ability to pitch shift in realtime and change the octaves or harmonics?? *shrugs
have a listen

Sure, just search for „shepard“ in the UL: https://www.native-instruments.com/en/reaktor-community/reaktor-user-library/all/all/all/all/shepard/latest/1/all/?q=shepard&t=userlib
Or watch this: https://blog.native-instruments.com/watch-how-to-make-shepard-tones/
I haven’t tried or watched any of that, but should probably give it a go at some point 😅 In any case, it’s easy to do with Pigments, that’s what I’ve used the last time I needed this particular effect.

You can also have a 'barber pole' phaser, where the phase shift seems to keep climbing, or keep falling. This is implemented using a frequency shifter

Here ya go - shepard tones ;)
try different setting. Change the number of voices in the ensemble too, that controls how many partials there are...
