How do I connect my turntable directly into my Maschine MK3?
Ive also be seeing people post they are not getting sound when they connect it. How do I avoid that and get sound from the turntable ?
For an accurate answer, one must provide minimum details about what's going on otherwise we either assume things or have to ask a ton of questions.
If Maschine accepts Line level as I mentioned and there's an output in the back of that turntable with a switch that says "Line" (according to YT videos it does) just enable it and get an appropriate audio cable, there's really not much to it.
Unless you either
1 - If it's a cable issue then just search/buy : Male stereo 3.5 mm to 2x 6.35 mm splitter cable, or the US folks: 1/8 inch Male Stereo to Dual 1/4 Mono Male Audio Cable
Male stereo 3.5 mm to 2x 6.35 mm splitter cable
1/8 inch Male Stereo to Dual 1/4 Mono Male Audio Cable
If instead, it's issue #2 then I'd need to ask a few more questions...
I'm guessing Maschine doesn't have a phono pre-amp?
If you have a turntable you must have an Amplifier. If possible run an auxiliary out, into the line in on Maschine.
But, there are some small DJ mixers with a phono pre-amp, or you could try something like this...
Or this is a more versatile investment
It's what Gee_Flat said, Maschine has only Line lvl Inputs like most interfaces, for a turntable your need a Phono Lvl Input. Those tiny phono preamps will be the cheapest option, albeit not at an amazing sound quality.
Headphone out of a receiver to a stereo pair would probably sound just as good. Something tells me this guy ain't coming back anyway. 🙂
Not enough info. What turntable is it? Please state the make and model.
Certain turntables now do have line outs, USB audio and so on, but without knowing which one he's got...
Some people even refer to DJ controllers as turntables.
I completely forgot that I have read about those in the past. I"m gonna do some browsing.
But if he had one, it would have worked.
After re-reading the OP I think you're 100% right about the controller. (palm to face)
We may never know the truth
Its a Audio-Technica AT-LP60XBT, with a built in pre amp.
It’s a Audio-Technica AT-LP60XBT with a built in pre amp!
Don't be so lazy!
Hey @K. Ade Any update?
Hey thins worked!!!
Anyone proficient in the mk3 that gives lessons in Cali in the Bay Area ?
hey, how did you get it to work? I’m having the very same issue.
I don’t have an audio interface, instead I just drag the R/L cables from the turntable directly into the Maschine with adapters, but it’s not working! Do you need an interface?
