Maschine MK3 does not work.
Hello all,
I bought Maschine MK3 and can't get it to work. I already logged a ticket with Native Instruments but did not get a reaction yet. Here some details about by laptop and what I tried so far:
Laptop: Dell, Windows 10 pro, Processor 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-1185G7 @ 3.00GHz 1.80 GHz, RAM 16GB.
I already followed all steps below:
- The MASCHINE software is not up to date
- Enable the software to run as administrator
- The driver or firmware is not installed correctly
- There is an issue with the USB connection
- The NIHardwareAgent or NIHostIntegrationAgent services are not running in the background
The only possible issue I could find is that I have USB 3.0. And its strange that the 'Maschine MK3 updater' says I have installed firmware 1.4.6. and that the update would contain firmware 1.4.5
Does somebody have a possible solution? Ant suggestions on what to try?
Thanks

Nothing unfortunately

Just to make sure, you have the Maschine plugged into your computer and you have the Maschine 2 software running on your computer? Have you tried plugging the USB into different ports on your computer?

I don't want to state the obvious, but have you tried a different USB cable?

All, except for a different USB port since I only have one USB 3 port

No, since I only have one of these cables. The part that needs to go into Maschine is different from my normal USB port.

@Similaun I see that my colleagues got back to you already. They should be able to help. While I'm here, a couple of questions:
Is Controller Editor installed on your computer? Do you have any way to try the Maschine on a different computer?
All, except for a different USB port since I only have one USB 3 port
Do you have other USB ports, like USB 2 ones? Or just one port for the whole computer?

I think you should try a new USB 2.0 cable. It's probably just that simple.

Controller editor is installed. I don't have another computer with th e required specs. One usb 3 port for the laptop, The other are USB c ports. @Jeremy_NI your colleagues asked me some simple questions last monday and did not get back to me anymore. I am very dissapointed in NI customer support.

Hi all,
thanks for your help. Yesterday I brought back the Maschine to the shop because I have no faith that the issue can be solved quickly. Some experts from the shop tried to help me by support over the phone. Having the Maschine for a week without being able to use it was frustrating. And no real help from NI support was dissapointing. My mysical journey will take a different path.

Hello. encountered the same problem. I even reinstalled the operating system, but a strange thing helped me - I just launched the controller editor, the device was identified there, and after that I went into the Machines software and everything worked. Suddenly it will help you too

@Similaun Really sorry that you didn't have a great experience with our support, we're having a lot of request right now, so it impacts our response times. But before bringing it back to the shop it could have been a good idea to test with a different USB cable and a different USB port.
