Having to reload all my Kontakt 6 instruments

Yeah... don't use Kontakt 7.

@VerbOne A Kontakt 6 track will not automatically load as a Kontakt 7 track in your DAW. Plug-in / version migration is not possible yet, only for Maschine, Komplete Kontrol and Cubase at the moment. this is something that will be addressed in the future, we don't have a timeline yet, it also requires interaction with these DAWS as they don't all have the same migration protocol.
This being said you can keep Kontakt 6 and Kontakt 7 side by side, they should work without a problem. Do you still have Kontakt 6 installed? What DAW are you using? What do you mean they don't "play" ? Do the libraries load? Can you load an instrument in Kontakt 6 in a new empty project ?

Are you saying that Cubase will intelligently replace old Kontakt with new and also load all instruments and parameter changes? That would make a comment I made on another thread today partly incorrect.
Is there somewhere I can read about this?

@Gee_Flat I suppose that's the goal. I've reached out to get more information. In the meantime, it might be something worth to ask here: Ask me Anything - Share your question to the Kontakt team

Say no more! Great that NI rolls out all this new stuff with so many issues.

So, NI just assumed no one would want to revisit old tracks with Kontakt 6? Or that we'd want to reload and need to tweak every track again? I don't understand the logic here.
As for K6, no I don't have it anymore, and I can't find it on NI's site. I'm using Studio One 6. K7 works โ although it's not very stable, tends to freeze and lag when loading stuff sometimes โ but I have literally 100s of tracks with K6 on them, and it's a nightmare.
Can you provide a link for Kontakt 6 so I can dump 7?

๐ I was just being aloof in my first comment. Well more like a goof!
While I don't have any use for K7, that isn't what I meant. I meant don't use it in old projects.
If you own K6 I think it's still there. Something about a Legacy section in the new Native Access.

I didn't take your comment as being aloof. Just facts. Don't use it lol.
For anyone who wants to roll back, I did find an old thread with a link for 6.4.2.

By the way Kontakt 6 should still be available in Native Access (found as only Kontakt)

@VerbOne you can reject my answer, it's your choice if you feel that your question was not answered, or did you reject it simply because you didn't like it? It could have helped other users to find the answer faster, but it's your choice.

I rejected it because the answer didn't help, not because I was salty. But now I guess I have my solution: as Gee_Flat said, don't use K7.

Hey don't blame me ๐
Yeah, it may have been Jeremy who actually provided that link to us about a year ago. I still use 6.4.2
The Replika Delay doesn't sync properly in that version. The fix is announced in the version updates in NA.

Welp, turns out that 6.4.2 ALSO does not load. Guess you have to have the EXACT version of Kontakt you used in a song to reload it. This is total trash. NI please make Kontakt versions compatible!
I now have 100+ songs that I can't load. Does anyone have the last version of Kontakt 6, whatever that was? I think it was 6.6.1.

Last version was 6.7.1 which would still be available in your Access.

Yeah, realized that's what's in my Native Access, but I'm still having issues with different versions loading. Ugh.
