This error message keeps happening for Kontakt Factory 2 .. even though Native Access says it is installed correctly .. BTW I have the current version of NA..

I recently purchased Session Guitar Mint and upgraded to Kontakt 7..

Session Mint did not install properly so I have to do a work around .. which entailed installing it from the downloaded folder of my saved preferences in NA, and then clicking locate and confirm in NA. ( that worked ) When Kontakt 7 failed to install through NA I tried the same procedure but alas it did not work.. I get that wonderful "the instrument belongs to a library that not installed" error message .. even though NA says it installed...

Hey all, the issue is finally fixed. For new users the Kontakt Factory Library 2 will insttall and work as expected in Kontakt. For the affected users I will sum up everything that needs to be done here, as it seems that reinstalling in Native Access will not fix the issue, unfortunately.

For Mac users:

Solution 1:

Delete this file: Macintosh HD > Library > Preferences > com.native-instruments.Kontakt Factory Library 2.plist
Restart your computer
Reinstall with Native Access

Solution 2:

Please download the attached zip folder, unzip it and move the plist file to the following location:
Macintosh HD > Library > Preference

KFL 2 plist.zip

Important!

To navigate to the correct Preferences folder please follow these steps:

Open the "Go" dropdown menu of the Finder and select "Computer"

Navigate to Macintosh HD > Library > Preferences , right-click the "Preferences" folder and paste the downloaded Kontakt Factory Library 2 plist file into it.
Alternatively you could also drag and drop the plist file into that Preferences folder

If prompted, select "replace".
Restart your computer
Open Native Access
Press the "Repair" button next to "Kontakt Factory Library 2"
Browse to and select your "Kontakt Factory Library 2" folder

For Windows users:

The problem seems to be caused by a faulty Registry entry of the Kontakt Factory Library 2:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Native Instruments\Kontakt Factory Library 2]

"HU"="EBF1709EED746817037A58398DA78BAD"

"JDX"="06CD237BDDA24E444D7F7723AAA1C520E947D5C99BB6EDA62880A3A726851252"

Those values should look like this:

"HU"="B912447ABDAED32DA2290A518813BB32"

"JDX"="363F9CF471EB332719F296BD130100E60B72592BF1DA4B869A74DCD650FF5BF5"

We have created this little attached file which will replace the faulty values with the correct ones when carried out.

kfl2_fix.reg.zip

Simply download and unzip it first.

On our system it was enough to double-click it and after I agreed to the pop up informing me about the Registry getting edited, they got updated.

Alternatively, if you are familiar with the Registry you could also replace the faulty HU and JDX values manually.

Finally gave up trying all the suggested fixes after the 3rd attempt failed. That alone took almost 2 days. On the third day, decided to reformat my Mac system and reinstalled the operating system before then doing a clean install. Factory Library 2 ***STILL*** does not load and gives the "..not installed currently" error. Every other library works OK.

This is beyond a joke.

Hello All...

I started this thread over two weeks ago to ask for support in solving the issuing of the Kontakt Factory Library 2.. error messages in Kontakt 7 Thanks to everyone who responded and I empathise with your frustration.. I was away on vaction for 2 weeks so i couldnt addess the issue .. but i did get an email from NI support that gave instructions on how to solve the issue and below is my response :

Hello ...

I have followed these instructions to the letter .. and done so twice..

to make sure ...

1.Please first reinstall Kontakt 7 via Native Access. DONE

Next, apply the following steps to KFL2:

Fixing Software Update Installation Issues (Windows) DONE

Next, delete the 91b443f7-08d6-483c-8bd6-e4402e74dd32.jwt file in the following folder:

C: > Users > Public > Public Documents > Native Instruments > Native Access > ras3 DONE

Restart computer and open Native Access. DONE

Press "..." next to KFL2 and select "Locate" DONE ,

Point Native Access to the KFL2 folder DONE and get a message of it successfully finding the library

Finally, open Kontakt 7 in standalone as admin.
DONE.. and get the same error message as before.. That the Instrument belongs to a library that is currently not installed..

At this point I have exhausted all attempts to fix this.. and your suggestions have not solved the issue... I have wasted at least 24 hours, probably more collectively trying to solve this issue ...

Any other company would be on the phone with me trying to solve this issue but not Native instruments.. This is not my first issue or problem with your products ..

There have been numerous times in the past... and it appears from the tread I created in the community channel I am not alone with being frustrated with your lack of credible support for issues that should not occur in the first place..

I own plenty of VST instruments and plugins from other reputable vendors and have never had any challenges as is the case with installation and functionality of your products..

It's a real shame, as your products are great `when `they work ..

Please inform me what you are going to do to remedy the situation

I have tried everything and NOTHING so far.. on latest MAC versions...

We should be making music, not de-bugging software...

NI, get your act together... your software is not cheap, and we expect a much better support and solutions.

@NI are you working on a general solution for this messy issue? Looks like plenty of users having this issue (me included). So a general solution without any workarounds would be highly recommended as people cannot use a huge part of their library...

Same issue here- followed every last suggestion all over the internet. Deleting .plist files, Native Access folders, downgrading to NA1...EVERYTHING. 11 Downloads thus far and ZIP. Put in support ticket to Native 2 days ago- and NADA. Every other library works fine (as well as the lighter versions of FL2).

Same issue here. Every other library I have works fine, only Kontakt Factory Library 2 presents this issue

I've tried both the suggested downgrade of Native Access workaround, and the registry editor / file deletion procedure yet neither appears to have any effect

Progress. I was able to reinstall Native Access via an NI link. Installed and it now shows as V3.1 and has a black background. Low and behold all my loaded instruments now appear on the rack on the left, including Kontakt Factory Selection, Kontakt Factory selection Library and Kontact Factory Library 2. I also checked my hard drive and found everything in C>Users>Public>Public Documents. But, I still get "instrument belongs to a library that is not installed" message when i try to load them. So, I keep trying and hope there is something that will resolve the problem.

Down grade to Native Access 1 and Re-install Factory Library 2

How to Downgrade Native Access 2 to Native Access 1

When I followed the directions there was 2 files I had to remove as it failed the first time; these being:

'com.native-instruments.Native Access.plist' and 'com.native-instruments.nativeaccess2.plist'

Give it a whirl it worked for me on my MBP M1 Max, Ventura, Standalone and in Logic X.

Just one more Kontakt 7 victim weighing in here, suffering through similar installation issues pertaining to Factory Library 2. Despite some knowledgable advice from both NI moderators and customers alike, none of these well-meaning suggestions have brought about success for me personally. I've now tried about every trick in the book, but the same dreaded "this instrument belongs to a library that is currently not installed", keeps rearing its ugly head. For now, I'll just give it a rest and play the waiting game until a permanent fix materializes. Am sure hoping that's not months away, especially considering how much $$ some of us have shelled out for a dependable piece of software. If anyone else has come up with a viable workaround not already listed, I'm all ears... or eyes in this case.

None of the fixes is working for me, either—with the exception that I haven't even been able to download the .iso file; it has timed out 5 times in a row (despite robust WiFi).

Has any progress been made on this? I've tried the workarounds suggested above, but nothing has worked. I've opened a support ticket, but have not heard back. Help please....
