Spectral analysis of the Machine Sound

Hi @ all,

how do you display a spectral analysis of the Machine Sound? Which software do you use?

I'm trying to get "Spectralissime" to work, but so far I haven't gotten a signal when I select the "ASIO Machine MK3" as input. My idea was to use a standalone spectral analyzer to show me my desired graph.

I also tried Nova from TDR as a plugin, but the plugin always disappears as soon as I leave the plugin tab.

What are your recommendations or ideas?

I use meldas MAnalyzer, but as you said if i select something else the windows just close, you could use a plugin host. Like this: https://kushview.net/

Does it work properly? Properly means direct grab of the Maschine master?

Yea, you load the plugins in an environment where you can drag and drop cables between them and to an master out, so if you use maschine 1-2 out to the analyzer you like and from there to output. You could also use your DAW to do the same. In both cases you will loose full screen maschine, but with other solutions you loose the asio driver as far as I know. I would like to be able to pin master FX in maschine and they stay no matter what i select elsewhere. There was only one software i now remember, that was able to do that, pinguin audio meter, but it is expensive as far as I remember.

I use spectrometer, a free Reaktor ensemble on the Master to get around all those issues, especially not being able to pin 3rd party plugins.

i‘m curious why I can’t get „Spectralissimme“ start working. Seems odd to me.

In the manual they say you can use any asio source or virtual audio driver as input and asio as output device, virtual audio cable you setup between maschine and spectralisime. This could increase latency substantially but maybe worth a try. You then have to use the stand alone version and then you have the window open all the time.

I‘m trying to focus on the Maschine standalone, want to find out where the limits are. I will try your workaround. Didn’t think about the virtual Audio cable, thought it works without
